Follow these simple steps to get started with Jump Desktop

1. Configure Jump Desktop on the computer you want to access

2. Install

Once the download completes, double click the JumpDesktopInstaller.exe file to start installation.

3. Automatic Setup

Once installed, Jump Desktop will launch automatically. Click the Start Automatic Setup button to launch the Jump Desktop Configuration Wizard. Follow the recommended wizard instructions to setup your PC.

4. Google Account information

Make sure you enter your Google login and password on the Google login screen.

5. Make sure you’re connected and online

Once the Wizard finishes configuring your PC, you’ll see the Jump Desktop status window. If you don’t see it, double click the Jump Desktop tray icon on the bottom right hand corner of your screen. Make sure the Jump Desktop window status says Connected and online. Tip: If you have trouble logging in, please make sure you’re using a Google account to connect: Troubleshooting login problems

1. Download Jump Desktop for Mac

2. Install

Double click on JumpDesktop.dmg and then open JumpDesktop.pkg.

3. Sign in with your Google account

After installation completes, you’ll see the Jump Desktop status icon on the top right hand corner of your toolbar. Click the icon and then click Sign in.

Enter your Google email address and password in the box. If you don’t have a Gmail account, sign up for a free account here: Gmail signup .

Important: Make sure you enter your full email address (including the @gmail.com suffix).

4. Start Screen Sharing

If screen sharing isn’t already enabled on your Mac, you’ll be prompted to start screen sharing. Make sure you press the Yes button.

After a brief wait, the Jump Desktop icon will turn black. This means you’re online. If there was a problem with your Google account information, you will be prompted to re-enter it. Tip: If you have trouble logging in, please make sure you’re using a Google account to connect: Troubleshooting login problems

2. Download Jump Desktop Viewer

Jump Desktop Viewer comes bundled with Jump Desktop for Windows.

If you have already installed Jump Desktop on your computer for remote access from your iPhone, iPad, iPod or Android device, there is no need to download and install it again. Simply skip to Step 4.

3. Install

Once the download completes, double click the JumpDesktopInstaller.exe file to start installation.

4. Start Jump Desktop Viewer

Once installed, Jump Desktop will launch automatically. Launch Jump Desktop Viewer by clicking: Options -> Launch Viewer

You can also launch the Jump Desktop Viewer by clicking: Start -> Programs -> Jump Desktop -> Jump Desktop Viewer.

5. Enter your Gmail credentials

Enter your Gmail credentials. It should be the same one you used to configure Jump Desktop on your remote computer. Click Sign In..

6. Connect to your remote computer

Once you sign in, you’ll see a list of all your computers signed into the same Gmail account.The indicator to the left of your computer’s name turns green when your computer is online.
Click the Connect button to connect to your computer.
