Jump Desktop Connect 6.0 brings the following features:

Collaborative Screen Sharing

Instantly share your screen with anyone. Sharing is as simple as sending a link to the person you want to share with. No need to exchange passwords or add permanent users to Jump Desktop Connect. Simply open up the Jump Desktop Connect app and share the screen sharing link with your partner:

Redesigned User Interface

The new user interface features a cleaner and more informative design. Helpful instructions are shown upfront. The list of remote access users includes the user's name, avatar and the last time they connected to the computer.

New UI

Password-less logins for Fluid connections

This is another amazing new feature focused around remote support and collaboration.

When connecting to a computer, you now have the ability to ask the current user permission to share their screen. Along with the username and password credentials prompt, you'll see a new Ask to share screen button:

Credentials Dialog with Ask to Share screen option

When you click Ask to share screen, Jump Desktop Connect will ask the currently logged in user if they want to start a screen sharing session with you:

Screen Sharing Request

The screen sharing session will start once they accept your request.

Important Note: Make sure you're connecting using Jump Desktop 8.0 or later.

Change your computer's name

You can now change the name Jump uses for your computer when it is discovered by new devices. Click the settings icon on the top right and then change the name in the General section.

Note: Name changes will not be reflected on devices that have already discovered the computer.

Fluid is Terminal Services Aware on Windows

On Windows, Fluid Remote Desktop protocol is now compatible with Terminal Services sessions. This means you're no longer forced to log into the console session, and screen sharing works even inside RDP sessions.

Some important breaking changes from 5.0: When logging into Fluid on Windows you are no longer allowed to connect to a different user's desktop session if you're logging in as a standard / non-admin user. If you want to connect to another user's session, make sure you're authenticating with Fluid using an administrator account OR the user's own account + password OR just ask the user to send you a screen sharing request using Jump Desktop Connect's new Screen Sharing feature (see above).

Goodies for Admins: Mass deployment via unattended configuration
