Jump Desktop for iOS 5.5

We've been working hard on Jump Desktop. This release brings tons of useful features and bug fixes. We're including a highlight here. For the complete list of changes and features please visit: http://jumpdesktop.com/new.

iOS 7 compatible: Now fully compatible with iOS 7! Also includes a brand new, minimalist iOS 7 theme when running on iOS 7. Of course we've made sure existing Jump Desktop 5.0 features like full bluetooth keyboard support and Windows 8/8.1 RDP touch support work great on iOS 7.

RD Gateways: We've added RD Gateway support for our enterprise customers. Set it up by tapping the blue button next to your computer's name and edit the rd gateway option.

Networking resiliency: Jump Desktop's networking layer is now resilient to connection dropouts. Jump closely monitors your data connection during your remote desktop session. If the connection goes down for any reason, Jump will try to reconnect automatically.

Share and backup servers: You can now share server lists by exporting your server settings to an archive file. Tap the settings icon in the top left hand corner and then tap the Export button. To import servers, simply "Open" the archive in Jump Desktop.

Other new features include SSH Public Key authentication, WOL support for manual connections, ability to hide a Mac's screen while connected, 24-bit quality for VNC sessions, additional bluetooth keyboard mappings for ultra-thin keyboards, new mouse gestures and a lot more. Performance boosts

Underneath the covers we've added a brand new, high performance graphics-rendering engine. The new rendering engine is up to twice as fast, takes half the memory as before and uses less battery power to get the job done. It was already great but we figured out a way to make it incredible.

New RDP compression algorithm reduces bandwidth consumption between 20-50% on Windows Vista and later operating systems. Reduces data costs as well as makes screen updates snappier.

Encryption performance has also improved significantly, including faster SSH port forwarding.

Transparent keyboards on iOS 7

We've temporarily disabled the 'transparent keyboard' option when running on iOS 7. iOS 7 introduced a new blur effect for keyboards, which isn't compatible with the transparent keyboard option. We're looking for ways to bring transparent keyboard back on iOS 7.
