Welcome to Jump Desktop 8.4.3 for Mac. This release adds these new features:
Audio streaming for Fluid

Fluid now supports real-time audio streaming when connecting to Mac or Windows! Audio streaming is enabled by default on all Fluid connections.
Mac Users: You'll need to install additional software on the remote computer to stream audio. Read more here: How to stream audio on Mac.
We've also added the ability specify a proxy server for automatic connections for those who need it (Jump Desktop -> Preferences -> Network). We've also fixed a few issues:
- Jump can't log into cloud servers if there was a keychain problem ("Connecting...." message shown indefinitely)
- ThinPrint could not connect
- Add support for setting a proxy server for automatic connections. Open up Jump Desktop -> Preferences -> Network.
Here's what was new in previous updates....
Jump Desktop 8.3.11
This update fixes (even more) compatibility problems when connecting to Linux machines.
Here's what was new in 8.3.8:
Support iCloud keychain syncing
If iCloud keychain is enabled, Jump will sync your computer passwords and ssh keys across your Macs and iOS devices. Requires Jump Desktop 9.0 for iOS keychain syncing, which will be available very soon.
We've also added more computer icons to choose from: Right click your computer in Jump, click Edit and click the computer icon to choose.
We've also fixed some issues with RDP where moving the mouse pointer had problems after a recent Windows update.
Jump Desktop 8.2.22
This update fixes graphical issues with VNC and RDP connections on Mojave 10.14.5.
In 8.2.21 we added full Wake-On-LAN capability for automatic connections. Click here to read more: Jump Desktop Wake On Lan Support.
Here's what was new in 8.2.14:
Dynamic Resolution Matching for Fluid
This is a powerful productivity feature that will make your remote desktop experience much better: Jump can resize the display on the remote machine to match your local display. This feature makes it much easier to remote control machines which have a larger display than your Mac (or vice versa). Seeing is believing:
Tip: To manage your resolution settings: Right-click your connection icon and then click Edit -> Display. You can also change settings live by clicking Remote -> Displays. Dynamic resolution switching is turned off by default for existing connections but turned on for new Fluid connections.
Known limitations: Jump will do it's best to match your local display however it's limited by the capabilities of the remote machine's graphics adapter.
Wake-On-Lan for automatic connections
Jump will now try to wake up the computer if it’s offline before connecting.
Performance
This release changes the way Jump Desktop draws the remote screen. On Mojave and later, Jump will use macOS's Metal renderer to draw the remote screen. This results in better visual quality, lower latency, higher performance and better battery life. Pure goodness.
We've also partially off-loaded Fluid protocol decoding to hardware (Up to 20% better performance).
Other notable changes:
- Horizontal scrolling support for Fluid and RDP connections.
- Better keyboard compatibility with 3D games and apps.
- We've increased the icon preview size by 25%. Bigger previews for your connections.
- Show the total computer count in the sidebar. The count appears besides the "Computers" row.
- Show unique machine id and OS version in 'About' section of connection (Automatic connections only).
- Faster reconnect when waking up from sleep.
- Synchronize connection names even after the initial discovery of the computer: You can now change your computer’s name in ‘Jump Desktop Connect’ on the remote computer and it will synchronize the change on all clients. In earlier versions of Jump, name changes for automatic connections were not synchronized after initial discovery.
- Jump shows a warning/confirmation prompt before connecting if two machines have the same name.
- RD Gateway settings are not persisted when importing RDP files.
- Improve performance when adding/removing 100s of computers
- Tons of stability fixes.
And here's what was new in earlier releases....
Jump Desktop 8.1.6 for macOS
- Fixed: RDP: Setting desktop scale to 125% scale didn't work and has been replaced with 130% scaling.
- Fixed: App startup might be slow if a network drive is selected in RDP's Shared Folder list
- Fixed: Some users could not log into their Jump Desktop accounts
- Fixed: Passwords might not be saved properly
- Stability
Here's what was new in 8.1...
- Dark mode support for macOS Mojave
- Fluid Remote Desktop: Mouse cursor updates for Fluid (requires Jump Desktop Connect 6.1.12 or later on the remote machine).
- Support for VeNCrypt TLS authentication for VNC connections
- Performance and iCloud fixes
- Fixes a startup crash on macOS 10.10
Jump Desktop 8.0 for macOS
8.0 brings remote support features, collaborative screen sharing, password-less logins and tons of bug fixes!
Requirement
Screen Sharing features require the free Jump Desktop Connect app to be installed on the remote computer. Jump Desktop Connect is a free app that anyone can install by visiting https://jumpdesktop.com/go. Also, we've updated Jump Desktop Connect to 6.0. Connect 6.0 has tons of new features too. Read the announcement here: Jump Desktop Connect 6.0 Announcement.
Collaborative Screen Sharing
Collaborative Screen Sharing lets many users connect to the same desktop. Each user gets their own mouse cursor and can point and click without fighting over the same cursor. Great for editing documents with coworkers, tweaking designs with remote team members, creating presentations together, and teaching Grandma how to clean out her email.
Ask To Share Screen
We've added a new Ask To Share Screen button for unobtrusive remote support. When connecting to computers over Fluid Remote Desktop, client Ask To Share Screen when prompted for credentials or right click a Fluid connection and then click Ask to Share Screen.
Jump Desktop then will ask the person on the remote computer if they want to start sharing their desktop with you:
You'll be able to see their screen when they click Accept. No need to share passwords anymore!
Secure Screen Sharing Links
Anyone can share their screen by sending you a link. You don't need to be an authorized remote access user on their machine or know their password to connect. All they need to do is install Jump Desktop Connect from https://jumpdesktop.com/go, click Copy Link and message you the link. They can even read out the link over the phone (it's designed to be human readable). It's very simple, very quick and very powerful. Here's what it looks like:
iCloud
We've ironed out iCloud syncing problems in this release made the overall syncing process smoother. You can now access your iCloud servers by opening up: Finder → iCloud Drive → Jump Desktop → Servers.
We've also added iCloud support to the non-App Store edition of Jump! This makes the App Store and non-App Store version of Jump virtually identical.
